Search Criteria Page
The Search Criteria page contains a list of criteria that can be used to search against the inventories you have selected. If you select more than one inventory, only the criteria common to both inventories will be displayed on the screen. Common fields are typically Acquisition Date, Spatial Coverage, and Results Display.

To execute a search:

  1. Fill out your search criteria (you do not need to fill out all criteria listed).
  2. Enter the number of records you wish the search results to display.
  3. Press the Search icon at the bottom of the page.

Spatial Coverage Options
The Spatial Coverage area provides you with three ways to define your area of interest before searching against data sets. It is not mandatory that you enter a spatial coverage before executing a search.

The three options are:

  1. The Reference Map allows you to draw a point or rectangle.
  2. US/World Feature Search - Clicking on this link brings up a window that prompts you for the name of a city or feature anywhere in the world. For more information, see Placename Query Tool Help
  3. Type in latitude and longitude coordinates.

Note: You cannot combine the three Spatial Coverage options.

Additional Criteria
If you have selected multiple data sets, you can enter criteria specific to a particular data set by clicking on Additional Criteria shown next to the inventory name in the Data Sets block.

Search Icon
The Search icon executes a search based on the criteria you defined.

Save Criteria Icon
If you are a registered user, the Save Criteria icon will take you to a page that lets you save your criteria for future use.
