Results Summary Page The Results Summary page shows you the status of each inventory search as it is running. The Results Summary page refreshes every 10 seconds until all inventory searches are complete.

A question mark shown next to the number of records retrieved indicates there are more records that matched your search criteria. If the question mark shows up as a hypertext link, you can click on it to find out how many records matched your criteria. This can take several minutes, depending on the size of the inventory and the criteria you used.

Once a search is marked Complete, you can view the results by clicking on the data set name or by marking the check box next to the data set name. You must click on the Results icons to view data sets that are marked. You can view results one data set at a time or view all of them at the same time. To view multiple data sets at the same time, mark as many data sets as you want to view before clicking on the Results icon.

Results Icon
The Results icon takes you to the Search Results page which lists all records found during the inventory search. You must mark the check box next to a data set name for the search results to be displayed in the Results page.

Save Criteria Icon
The Save Criteria icon takes you to the Save Criteria page, where you can save your search criteria for future use. This feature is only available to registered users.

Save Results Icon
The Save Results icon takes you to the Save Results pages, where you can save the results of your searches for future use. This feature is only available to registered users.

Setup Standing Request Icon
The Setup Standing Request icon takes you to the setup or edit Standing Request page, where you can request that searches for new inventory items be run off line on a periodic basis. This feature is generally used by customers wishing to obtain continuous satellite coverage over a specific area. The Standing Request option is only available to registered users.

Redefine Criteria Icon
The Redefine Criteria icon takes you back to the Search Criteria page, where you can refine your criteria and execute your search again.

Results Page
The Results page lists the results of your search. Ten records for each data set are displayed on one page. Each set of records for a given data set are manipulated independently of all other records on the page. Records can be manipulated using the icons below each record set. For example, if you click on the Next Page icon below records of one data set, you will be taken to a page showing the next set of 10 records for that data set. Records for all other data sets will be listed the same as they were on the previous page.

The first 5 columns of each set of records are used to view a preview image, to show the location of an item on a map, to show all the values included in the record (sometimes referred to as metadata), to exclude records from the list, and to mark records for ordering. The remaining columns show information that is unique to each record (metadata).

Field columns and the order in which the records are sorted can be changed by clicking on the Change Columns and Sort Order of Results icon at the bottom of a record set.

The following explains what each of the first five columns do.
Preview (or Img) Clicking on the "Show" icon next to a record brings up a subsampled copy of the product available for the record.  The preview link will show only if a subsampled copy exists.  This column will not appear if subsampled copies are not available for an entire inventory.
Footprint (or Foot) Clicking on the "Show" icon under this column and next to a record brings up the Reference Map, showing the location of the record (footprint) .  You can view multiple footprints at a time by clicking on multiple "show" icons.  You can remove a footprint by clicking on the "Hide" icon. You can clear out all  footprints by clicking on the Clear Footprints icon on the map. You cannot draw on the map while you are on the Results page.
Show All Fields (or Full) Clicking on the "Show" icon under this column and next to a record brings up a window showing all  information contained in the record.
Exclude (or Excl) Clicking on the checkbox under this column and next to a record marks it for exclusion.   To hide the record from the list, click on the Hide Excluded Records icon at the bottom of the record set.  Excluded records can be restored using the Restore All Excluded Records icon.
Order (or Ord) Clicking in the check box under this column and next to a record marks the item for ordering.  To order the marked item, click on the Add Selected Items to the Shopping Basket icon at the bottom of the record set.  To complete order processing, click on the View Shopping Basket icon.

Previous Page Icon
The Previous Page icon takes you back to the previous list of records. This icon is inactive or "greyed out" when a previous page does not exist.

Next Page Icon
The Next Page icon takes you to a list that shows the next set of 10 records found during the search. This icon is inactive or "greyed out" when there are no more records to show.

Redefine Criteria Icon
The Redefine Criteria icon takes you back to the Search Criteria page.

Result Summary Icon
The Result Summary icon takes you back to the Result Summary page.

Add Selected Items to Shopping Basket Icon
The Add Selected Items to Shopping Basket icon adds any items you have marked for ordering to the Shopping Basket.

Add All Retrieved Items to Shopping Basket Icon
The Add All Retrieved Items to Shopping Basket icon adds all items from your search results to the Shopping Basket.

View Shopping Basket Icon
The View Shopping Basket icon takes you to the Shopping Basket page.

Hide Excluded Records Icon
The Hide Excluded Records icon "hides" all records from the results list that are marked for exclusion.

Restore All Excluded Records Icon
The Restore All Excluded Records icon restores all records from the list that were marked for exclusion.

Change Columns and Sort Order of Results Icon
The Change Columns and Sort Order of Results icon takes you to the Change Displayed Results page, where you can change which fields show on the Search Results page and the order in which records are shown.

Results Page - Ordering Frames from an Index

A photo index (mosaic), consists of a single-sheet composite of many individual photos. The photos date from the 1940`s - 1980`s, and were originally acquired by a variety of sources. Photo indexes will vary in scale, size, quality, and coverage; individual photos are referenced by the film roll number and individual frame on the roll. How to find a roll number on a Photo Index

Single frame images are available only for items showing the "Order Frame" link under the "Order Frame from Index" column of the results page. Click on any Order Frame link to bring up the photo index and start the view and order process.

Change Displayed Results Page
This page allows you to manipulate the display of your results. Using the drop down menus, you can change which fields show in your list, the order in which the fields are shown, and how the records are sorted. The changes you make on this page apply only to the results from the inventory search you are currently viewing. If you are viewing results from multiple inventory searches and wish to make changes, you will need to access and modify a Change Displayed Results page for each inventory.

Submit Changes Icon
The Submit Changes icon submits the changes you have made and returns you back to the Results page, where the list is redisplayed.

Return Icon
The Return Icon disregards your changes and take you back to the Results page.

Reset Icon
The Reset icon removes any changes you have made in the Change Displayed Results page.

Save Criteria
The Save Criteria page allows you to save the criteria you have defined for a search. When you enter this page, you will be prompted to enter a name which will be used for the criteria you are saving. Clicking on the OK icon executes the save and take you to a verification page, where you can view, delete, or rename any of the criteria you have saved.

The OK icon executes a save and takes you to a verification page, where you can view, delete, or rename any of the criteria you have saved.

Cancel Icon
The Cancel icon returns you to the previous page without saving your criteria.

Saved Criteria
The Saved Criteria page provides you with a list of criteria you have saved and the dates you saved them. From this page you can review, delete, or rename any of your saved criteria files. Click on a toggle button next to a name, then click on the Review, Delete, or Rename icons to execute the function. You can also go back to your original criteria from this page.

Review Icon
The Review icon takes you to the Search Criteria page and fills in criteria from the saved criteria file you selected. A file is considered "selected" when the toggle button next to a name is marked.

Delete Icon
The Delete icon is used to delete marked items from the saved criteria list.

Rename
The Rename icon brings up a window that allows you to change the name of a selected saved criteria file. A file is considered "selected" when the toggle button next to a name is marked.

Save Results
The Save Results page allows you to save the results of a search. When you enter this page, you will be prompted to enter a name which will be applied to the results you are saving. You can also send your results to another EarthExplorer user from the verification page (Saved Results).

Saved Results
The Saved Results page provides a list of all the results you have saved and the dates you saved them. From this page you can review, delete, or rename any of your saved search files or you can send them to another EarthExplorer registered user. Click on a toggle button next to a name, then click on one of the icons shown below the list. You can also return to your original search results from this page.

The Review icon takes you to the selected Results page. A file is considered "selected" when the toggle button next to a name is marked.

Send To Icon
The Send To icon takes you to a page that prompts you for an Earth Explorer user name, where the results are to be sent to.

Rename Icon
The Rename icon brings up a window that allows you to change the name of a selected saved results file. A file is considered "selected" when the toggle button next to a name is marked.

Delete Icon
The Delete icon is used to delete marked items from the saved results list.
