Secure Server

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover through our secure server. We use the following methods to ensure security across the Internet.

Secure Socket Layer: To ensure security and confidentiality of payment, Security Socket Layer (SSL) encryption is enabled on the USGS Commerce site. If the user is using a security-enabled browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.1 or greater, or Netscape Navigator version 2.0 or greater), the information sent to the USGS Commerce Server regarding your purchase is encrypted, making it extremely difficult to read even if it is wrongly intercepted.
