Selecting a Data Set

Data Set Selection Page
The Data Set Selection page provides a list of data sets you can search against.   You can select and search against one or more data sets at the same time. The Data Set Selection page also provides options for defining your area of interest before searching against data set inventories. You can obtain information about each of the data sets by clicking on information icon next to each dataset.

Spatial Coverage Options:
The Spatial Coverage area provides you with three ways to define your area of interest before searching against data sets.   It is not mandatory that you enter a spatial coverage before executing a search.

The three options are:

  1. The Reference Map allows you to draw a point or rectangle.
  2. US/World Feature Search - Clicking on this link brings up a window that prompts you for the name of a city or feature anywhere in the world. For more information, see Placename Query Tool Help
  3. Type in latitude and longitude coordinates.

Note: You cannot combine the three Spatial Coverage options.
